For journeys by road, the cottage is 105 miles from Birmingham (about 2 hrs 20 min), or 57 miles from Shrewsbury (1hr 15 mins). The cottage is 8 miles from the coast and sandy beaches at Aberdyfi and 8 miles from Cadair Idris.
